New connection for DWS in operation

Friday, June 26th, 2009 Yesterday, June 25, 2009 a new connection for the commecial traffic of RoEduNet has been installed in production.
The connection is supplied by DANTE, the coordinator of the GEANT project. The type of interface is 10 Gbps Ethernet with a commited rate of 2 Gbps. The connection to GEANT will also provide DWS (Dante World Services) traffic in case of this link failure. Also, the DWS connection will permit traffic to GEANT when GEANT connection fail.
Through these two connections to the international academic and commecial communities RoEduNet network provides full backup for its users.
